The first Ford Sigma powered Caterham 7 Roadsport receives a 5 star review from EVO magazine.

The new Ford Sigma powered Caterham 7 Roadsport has blown away the reviewers at EVO and received a coveted 5 out of 5 score in the special 100th edition of the magazine.

The respected monthly title, which focusses on 'the thrill of driving', was highly impressed with the 125bhp Sigma powerplant and its improved torque over the outgoing K-Series model.

In their exclusive first review of the updated car, reviewer Henry Catchpole commented, "The narrow-bodied Caterham is fantastic fun. It will enliven any journey and teach you all you need to know about balancing a car."

The new Caterham Sigma-powered range, available to order now, boasts not only a new engine but also an improved robot-welded chassis, 12% stiffer than before. Despite the gains in power, torque and chassis rigidity the price of the entry 125bhp model remains unchanged at £15,995.

Also in the same issue of EVO, the venerable R500 Evo and new CSR Superlight stamp their mark on a very special '10 Fastest' test against the likes of the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT and Mclaren F1.

The 100th issue of EVO is out now. See evo.co.uk for more information
